Additional Charitable Funds Raised by GC Business Finance.
GC Business Finance operate as an ethical lender in the alternative finance space, Chris Hutchison Head of Lending took our ‘not for profit, for people’ stance one step further by supporting the When You Wish Upon a Star Charity over Easter.
Chris was approached by Melanie Scholefield, Regional Fundraiser to support their Easter egg raffle in raising funds for children with a life-threatening or terminal illness.
When You Wish Upon a Star charity was founded in Nottingham by Barbara White who was so inspired by a seriously ill four-year-old with a dream to meet Mickey Mouse that she decided she wanted to bring smiles to the faces of many more brave and courageous children. Wishes have the power to transform the lives of the children and families that the charity work with and since 1990 they have proudly granted over 17,500 Wishes across the UK.
GC Business Finance undertakes charitable activities annually, last year raising a total of over £5,000. Chris didn’t hesitate to support an additional charity saying “It’s for a great cause, the staff at GC Business finance and the wider Growth Company bought up all of the squares in under 3 hours! When You Wish Upon a Star do amazing work and I’m glad we could, in some small way make a difference and contribute to some of those wishes. I’d like to thank everyone who contributed and pass on a huge congratulations to Adele Hopper who won our raffle”.
GC Business Finance raised a total of £229.64 for the Easter egg raffle contributing to the amazing work that When You Wish Upon a Star do. The raffle has been a success for GC Business Finance and we’d like to congratulate our winner, Adele Hopper from Centre for Assessment, part of the wider Growth Company on winning the egg as we look forward to some of our other upcoming charitable activities.
Melanie Scholefield, Regional Fundraiser commented “We would like to say a massive thank you to both Chris Hutchison and GC Business Finance for the incredible support and fundraising they have done for us, which will help us to make even more Wish Children’s dreams come true. We really cannot thank everyone enough. Also congratulations to Adele Hopper from the Centre for Assessment for also taking part and we hope you enjoyed your prize over Easter”
